Newcastle United have a new spending power following their £300m takeover by Public Investment Funds (PIF) from Saudi Arabia in October. Since the takeover, the Magpies have been on the trail of 29-year-old Brozovic who has been a transfer target for both Chelsea and Manchester United. The Inter Milan player was strongly linked with a move away from the San Siro in the summer, but he decided to stay for this season. To this effect, Brozovic will leave Inter Milan as a free agent best summer if the Nerazzuri don’t tie him down to a new deal.

The latest news is that Inter Milan have made an offer of a new deal to him as the Italian champions try to commit his long-term future to the club. Brozovic showed his quality as the best Inter Milan player on the pitch during the 2-0 away defeat at the hands of Real Madrid in a Group D clash in the Champions League. Inter Milan had Italian international NicoloBarella sent off during the game as Real Madrid took the points to confirm their status as group winners thanks to the goals from Toni Kroos and Marco Asensio.

Italian journalist Nico Schira confirmed that Inter Milan have offered Croatian midfielder Brozovic a new-four year contract worth €6.5m plus €1m in bonuses on a yearly basis.
