Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has insisted that he remains focused with the team and is still as hungry as ever to win more titles with the Spanish La Liga giants. The Croatia international midfielder was linked with an exit away from the Los Blancos at the end of last season, with reports claiming that Madrid president Florentino Perez was keen to offload the former Tottenham Hotspur star because he was already past 35 years of age.

Two seasons ago, Inter Milan president admitted that he loved Modric and would love to sign him for the Italian Serie A giants but Real Madrid were never open to selling him then and he remained in Spain instead. Since then, he has continued his career in fine fashion during which he has also been crowned a Ballon d’Or winner.
Speaking in the interview, Modric says he is solely focused on closing in on Atletico Madrid and Chelsea next season – the two clubs that won the Spanish La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League titles respectively. He added that it would be great if the club:s players can bounce back from their disappointing season where they could not win a single trophy, and declared that every member of the squad is interested in returning to the top of the La Liga table next season.
