Croatian head coach Zlatko Dalić has named a 23-man squad for his team’s November UEFA Nations League games on Monday. Croatia is set to return to the field in November with three games following a loss to France and a win against Sweden in the October Nations League games.
Firstly, Croatia will head to Istanbul to play against Turkey in a friendly match on 11 November 2020 before taking on Sweden in an away match on 14 November and Portugal in Split on 17 November at Poljud stadium.
Mislav Oršić, Dinamo Zagreb striker, has been called again to the squad. At the same time, all the three players who had just tested positive for Coronavirus; Josip Brekalo, Andrej Kramarić, and Ante Budimir have all been included. Luka Modrić, the team’s captain, will lead the side once again. There are a standby naming and call-up for the first time for Mile Škorić, Marin Pongračić, Ante Rebić, and Basic Toma, who plays in France for Bordeaux.
In his last interview, Dalic has hinted that he will assess every player’s condition and the situation in the two weeks coming and react better, depending on the situation on the ground. He stated that he wishes to have all invited players healthy so that he can welcome the last few matches of the year in a better view and finish the League of Nations games satisfactory.
