Veteran Croatia national team skipper Luka Modric was largely anonymous before he was substituted during the second leg of the Champions League semifinal tie between his Real Madrid side and Manchester City. Croatia international Mateo Kovacic would be a major absentee for Chelsea when they take on London rivals West Ham United in a Premier League clash billed for Stamford Bridge this weekend. Italian champions Inter Milan are reportedly sweating on the future of Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic at the club after he received an offer from Spanish La Liga side Barcelona. It was reported by Italian publication Calciomercato that the Catalans have made an offer to sign Brozovic on a free transfer in the summer. The Croatia international has less than six months on his contract with the Nerazzuri at the moment.
