Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric is fast turning out into one of the hottest properties in world football.
The 23-year-old is attracting the attention of several top clubs like Chelsea after a fine season with Rijeka. Even though he is not a teenager,Kramaric is believed to have blossomed late and he has scored an astonishing 39 goals in just 34 league outings for his club. Even though they play only in the Croatian league which is not comparable to the likes of the English Premier league or the Spanish league, Chelsea believe that he is a player with a real talent.
The English Premier League outfit have been heavily criticised in recent years for stockpiling a number of players and loaning them out. Even though this has immensely benefited them in terms of transfer fees received for players who have never featured for them, many players do not benefit from having to play for different teams every season. Croatian national team boss Niko Kovac says that Kramaric should consider turning down offers from the likes of Chelsea, where he is unlikely to feature regularly, and choose a team who will provide opportunities for him to improve as a player.
The interest surrounding Kramaric has increased after the Europa league performances.”My advice not only to him but all young players going out is don’t look at how high a salary you can get but choose a club you will play in. Because when young players go out, they do not know anybody, don’t have friends, family, don’t know the language, and if they don’t play, they lose confidence and in year or two – disappear. And if they play in some smaller team, the opportunity will come to go to a bigger club and earn more,” said the Croatia boss.
